We’re so honored that you guys (yes you!) have made us one of the ten best things in New York city to do in the great outdoors! Look at that list! The next time someone says to you “I’m bored, there’s nothing to do in this town.” grab them by the wrist and haul them to an of these places. They’re all winners in my book. And don’t forget to check-in when you’re here (or at any of these places for that matter). You just might get a spiffy new badge for it! ~AR

NYC GOV: NYC’s Big Apple Foursquare Badge Relaunches in the New Year

Come to the Garden, check in on Foursquare, and you have the chance of snagging this awesome new badge! It’s the New Yorker thing to do!

This year, the City of New York and Foursquare relaunched the “Big Apple” badge with new rules, locations and more tips, lists and updates for users to explore New York City. The badge this year also includes multiple levels, so the more you check-in, the more levels you can earn.

The Garden is not on this map (which I think is really cool), because as a botanical garden, we are not a park. But that shouldn’t keep you from checking-in at the Garden or at any of our gardens and exhibitions. ~AR
