I just stumbled on these wonderful photographs by Brazilian artist André Feliciano who creates flower blooms out of colorful miniature cameras. (via design you trust)

For any shutterbugs—professional or simply confident—looking to get in on some “garden photography” of a less literal variety, don’t forget that the NYBG is the exclusive North American partner of the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition. Think of it as one of the most respectable chances you’ve got to showcase your perspective of the garden, with thousands of dollars in prize money up for grabs (including a purse being offered by our very own Garden).

But more important than the cash is not only the chance of having your winning work displayed in our Ross Gallery, but global recognition as a photographer through IGPOTY’s own exhibitions. This is marquee garden photographer territory.
