Yes, plenty of cacti have flowers. And fruit, and much of the other equipment that comes standard on many plants. While the king of cacti—the saguaro—lives out its life in one of the more desolate moonscapes to be found on Earth (at least at first glance), its seldom-seen moments of flowering abundance bring a touch of cozy comfort to the scene. —MN
