The photographs in David Lachapelle’s latest series ‘Earth Laughs in Flowers,’ about to go on display at the Fred Torres Gallery in Chelsea beginning February 23, cast the traditional art of floral arranging in a whole new light. At first, they look like traditional Flemish still life paintings, but look a little closer, and a little closer still. Disturbing, engrossing, and freakishly beautiful, I can’t wait to see them in their full, overwhelming glory.~AR
